The US State Department Officially Shuts Down USAID—The Democrat Slush Fund for Kickbacks is No More!

The United States Agency for International Development has formally closed its doors. As part of President Trump's effort to cut unnecessary spending, USAID discontinued over 80% of its projects in March; the State Department has since taken over the remaining operations. In their efforts to reduce the size of the federal government, billionaire Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency set this transition as one of their first goals.
Former Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama have most recently heavily criticized the closure of USAID, which was established to deliver aid globally. In the past, USAID employed about 10,000 workers, many of whom worked abroad, according to BBC reporting. Along with U2 singer Bono, Bush and Obama participated in a video farewell for USAID employees on Monday, expressing gratitude for everyone's work.
The official shutdown of USAID was announced by Secretary Rubio. The State Department now oversees all essential programs and funding. Elon Musk and the DOGE team swiftly characterized the left's preferred slush fund as an ideological infection that costs taxpayers more to operate annually than the CIA. The agency supported crazy initiatives that had no justification other than to give families of Democratic politicians and judges a work program, and it promoted radical gender ideology, DEI, and ESG.
Many people are asking whether the shutdown of USAID contributed to the current financial woes of the DNC, especially in light of its ironic timing. The revelation of USAID's money-laundering and political kickback practices alarmed many lawmakers. Since we as citizens are no longer supporting its insane funding of leftist ideology, these changes will eventually result in a decrease in our taxes.
Additionally, the shutdown of USAID follows additional damning disclosures of wrongdoing within the agency.
April 29, 2025: A federal indictment led to the arrest of a former project director from a North Carolina non-profit organization for cheating USAID out of almost $240,000. While working on a USAID cooperative agreement in South Africa, this case featured false claims for housing allowances.
June 13, 2025: Four men entered guilty pleas to a ten-year bribery scam involving more than $550 million in contracts, including three corporate executives and a USAID government contracting officer. At least 14 prime contracts were impacted by this plan.
How much will this impact the Democrats' financing of anti-American ideology, waste, fraud, and DEI funding? Will there be another name on the check coming forward?
