$8 Billion in Green New Scam Projects Cancelled Amid the Schumer-Jefferies Democrat Government Shutdown

Amid the Democrat government shutdown spearheaded by Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, the White House announced on Wednesday that it is canceling $8 billion in funding for green energy. Following an earlier decision to cancel $18 billion in infrastructure projects in New York City, OMB Director Russ Vought stated the cuts target "Green New Scam" programs in blue states.

The Department of Energy is anticipated to provide additional information after OMB Director Russ Vought revealed on X that "nearly $8 billion in Green New Scam funding to fuel the Left's climate agenda is being cancelled." In addition to the administration's earlier

Accusing Democrats of impeding a clean continuing resolution voted by House Republicans that preserved current, previously agreed-upon spending levels, President Trump told reporters on Tuesday that his administration wished to prevent a shutdown.

Silk, on Diamond and Silk’s Chit Chat Live, recently described the Democrat-led government shutdown as a “blessing in disguise.” President Trump has already begun the process of slashing Democrat waste, fraud, and abuse during the government shutdown. Silk asked her viewers during the show, “What should President Trump undo during the government shutdown?”

Russ Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, quickly portrayed the White House's decision to cancel $8 billion in green energy projects on Wednesday as a direct result of the government shutdown that was led by Democrats

Hours after the White House declared it was stopping $18 billion in federal financing for infrastructure projects in New York City, the cancellations were made. The actions together represent the first significant budgetary changes made during the shutdown, which began early Wednesday morning after House Republicans' clean continuing resolution was vetoed by Senate Democrats.

President Donald Trump stressed in a press conference on Tuesday that his administration has worked to keep the government open. Trump stated, "We don't want it to shut down because we have the greatest period of time ever," alluding to record investment during his presidency. "We are the last to want it shut down, as we are investing $17 trillion."

By pointing out that the shutdown allows his administration to permanently cut inefficient programs that Democrats favor, Trump warned that Democrats' failure to enact a budget agreement would backfire. During the shutdown, Trump stated, "We can do things that are bad for them that are irreversible—like cutting vast numbers of people out, cutting things that they like, cutting programs that they like." "And as everyone knows, Russell Vought has gained a lot of popularity lately due to his ability to reduce the budget to a degree that is impossible to achieve in any other way."

The president went on to say that Democrats' decision to force a shutdown was a political risk. Trump stated, "They want illegal aliens to enter our country and receive enormous health care at the expense of everyone else." Getting health care for illegal immigrants is the main reason they want to go on strike. California is being destroyed by Gavin Newsom's desire for that as well. That is not possible for us. We will not allow it to occur.”

It's difficult to overlook the irony for Democrats: the shutdown they incited was the direct cause of the $8 billion in their cherished green projects' demise.
