A recent study has identified a troubling trend in media coverage of the criminal trial of former President Donald Trump. The study found that over 90% of TV news fails to accurately identify the prosecutors in the case as Democrats. 

This failure to disclose the political affiliation of Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, Fulton County DA Fani Willis, and NY AG Letitia James, all Democrats, is viewed as a significant oversight. Despite their clear political ties, the media often portrays them as nonpartisan officials. 

The study, which analyzed evening news on ABC, CBS, and NBC from January 1, 2023, through April 10, 2024, highlights the importance of accurately representing the political context of high-profile cases like this.
