A 38-year-old Peruvian gang leader named Gianfranco Torres-Navarro was taken into custody on Wednesday in Endicott, New York, which is about 150 miles northwest of New York City. On May 16, 2024, Torres-Navarro illegally crossed the border between Texas and Mexico. Torres-Navarro is thought to be the leader of the criminal group known as "Los Killers," and the Peruvian government has requested aid from abroad in order to apprehend him.
