Swamp Dweller Democrat Rep. Al Green’s Bid to Impeach President Trump Torpedoed by the House!

Despite Democrats' annoyance over the weekend attack, they showed little appetite to try and remove President Trump on Tuesday when they decisively rejected Rep. Al Green's (D-Texas) effort to impeach Trump over U.S. strikes on Iran.
The chamber voted 344-79 in favor, torpedoing Green's resolution, which accuses Trump of abusing his power. Of the 118 Democrats who voted with the Republicans to put the bill on hold, 79 Democrats opposed the move and wanted a vote on the resolution held by the chamber. Among those 118 Democrats were the top three leaders of the Democratic caucus.
Green has been trying to get Trump impeached for months now, criticizing his foreign and domestic policy decisions.
On Tuesday, the congressman ramped up that effort once again by submitting and requiring a vote on a resolution that accuses Trump of not seeking congressional authorization before attacking three locations in Iran over the weekend. Democrats have contested this accusation.
"In the course of his presidency, Donald J. Trump violated his constitutional oath to faithfully execute the office and, to the best of his ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. He also violated his constitutional duty to ensure that the laws were faithfully executed. Moreover, he abused his power by disregarding the doctrine of separation of powers, usurping Congress's power to declare war, and ordering the United States military to bomb another country without the necessary congressional authorization or notice. This was done despite the fact that another country's military bombing a U.S. facility would be a violation of the United States of America's constitution.
Top Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), have defended the president, saying that he was within his rights to launch the strike as commander-in-chief under Article II.
According to Johnson, who had experience practicing constitutional law, President Trump's authority to launch strikes on Iran's nuclear sites was clearly established by his Article II powers as Commander in Chief. Johnson made this statement on Tuesday. "It hardly warrants a debate."
Regardless of that rationale, Democrats and even some Republicans have condemned Trump's strike, some even arguing that impeachment is necessary. Even though she voted against bringing the resolution to a vote on Tuesday, Democratic New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated over the weekend that the strikes were grounds for impeachment.
Meanwhile, the strikes were deemed "not constitutional" by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who has been a vociferous critic of American participation in Iran. He is working on a war powers resolution to stop further American involvement in Iran with California Democrat Ro Khanna. Pristine safety concerns House Democrats have also introduced a similar bill.
The White House praised Trump's Middle Eastern initiatives after Tuesday's vote. The nuclear program of Iran was destroyed, and a ceasefire was agreed upon under President Trump's 'peace through strength' leadership, which he achieved more swiftly than any prior president.
