On Presidents' Day weekend, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of more criminal illegal aliens from all over the country, including those who had been convicted of horrible crimes like having child pornography, sexually assaulting a child, or planning to sell meth.

Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, "Over Presidents' Day weekend, the brave men and women of ICE arrested heinous criminal illegal aliens across the country convicted for sex crimes against children, rape, and drug trafficking." "These violent criminals will never be able to hurt children or innocent Americans again." Almost 70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S.  and nothing will stop ICE from taking them out of American neighborhoods.

The arrests over President’s Day weekend included:

• Jorge Silvestre-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for possession of child porn images in Harris County, Texas.

• Efren Guzman-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was convicted for indecency with a child, sexual contact, and child grooming in Bastrop County, Texas.

• Javier Millan-Salgado, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico on the sex offender registry, was convicted for lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in Martinez, California.

• Francisco Javier Chavez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for sex with a minor in San Bernardino, California.

• In San Diego, California, Miguel Vicente-Miguel, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was found guilty of having sex with a minor.

• Pedro Jucub, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala convicted for sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 in St. Louis, Missouri.

• Apolinar Cardenas-Gaona, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for sex assault in South Salt Lake City, Utah.

• Pedro Fernandez-Reyes, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for sexual abuse in New City, New York.

• Ever Rivera-Molina, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras convicted for conspiracy to distribute crystal methamphetamine in San Antonio, Texas.

• In Iowa, Alfredo Vargas, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was found guilty of possessing methamphetamine with intentions to distribute it.

• Wilfrido Varelas-Rubio, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in Montana.

• Hermilio Salgado-Castro, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was convicted for conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine in Raleigh, North Carolina.

• Saul Alonzo Portillo-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, was convicted for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute in Alpine, Texas.

• Gerson Valverde, a criminal illegal alien from Nicaragua convicted for felony assault, felony aggravated family offense, and misdemeanor stalking in Saratoga County, New York.

• Francisco Gamez-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico convicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Lakeland, Florida.

The Border is Fully Secure

Crime and Murder Rates Are at All-Time Lows

President Trump came into office on a pledge to restore public safety, and he has done so after years of instability, rising crime, and moderate anti-crime measures implemented by the Radical Left that threw the country's largest cities into disarray.

• Every major violent crime category saw huge drops in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to new data: robberies fell 20%, aggravated assaults were down over 10%, and total homicides fell 19%.

• The steepest single-year decline in recorded history has seen the murder rate in the country's main cities plummet to its lowest level in at least 125 years. In addition to murders, the country witnessed sharp declines in rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, gunshot deaths (the fewest since 2015), traffic fatalities, drug overdose deaths, and on-duty law enforcement officer deaths (the lowest in 80 years).
