Silk Questions Pushback Against President Trump’s Cabinet Appointees
On her recent Chit Chat Live Show, Silk spoke out against the blatant pushback of President Trump’s growing cabinet appointees. The new team tasked with carrying out President Trump’s agenda is beginning to take shape, but as Silk summarized, "A fair comparison of those holding the current cabinet positions being filled should inspire support for all of President Trump’s cabinet nominees.”
Since Republicans will dominate the Senate, Trump's choices for the positions should have a relatively easy confirmation process, though there may still be delays, and some may even fail if they do not receive enough support. One of his nominees, former Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Florida), has already withdrawn from consideration.
This time, Trump swiftly put together a group of agency directors who have been steadfast allies with strong credentials in the MAGA movement, in contrast to his first administration, when he nominated a number of additional establishment-type officials with whom he had no prior relationship.
Even though Republicans hold 53 Senate seats, not all of Trump's candidates are certain to pass the confirmation process when he completes the list of 15 Cabinet positions and other important appointments.
