Declaring that "this SCAM...should end, right now!" President Trump gave Attorney General Pam Bondi instructions on Thursday to work toward the grand jury records' release in the Epstein case. Bondi stated that she will request that the court unseal the transcripts on Friday.

Bondi replied to X very quickly, stating that her team would be present in court on Friday to submit the request. She responded, "President Trump, we are prepared to petition the court tomorrow to have the grand jury transcripts unsealed."

On Truth Social, Trump stated that, subject to court clearance, he has requested AG Pam Bondi to make public "any and all pertinent grand jury testimony" related to Epstein. "President Trump—we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts," Bondi replied on social media Thursday night. Trump's order follows a Wall Street Journal article about a birthday letter he purportedly gave to Epstein, which Trump has referred to as "fake" and threatened to sue over.

Attorney General Pam Bondi was directed by President Donald Trump on Thursday to seek the release of sealed grand jury records via Truth Social. Trump stated, "I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent grand jury testimony, subject to court approval, given the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein." "This SCAM, which is being perpetuated by the Democrats, ought to stop immediately," he continued.

The Justice Department and FBI published the findings of a long-awaited internal study last week. Federal officials came to the conclusion in an unsigned memo that Epstein lacked a The "client list" had not involved any high-profile individuals in blackmail, and no further inquiries into uncharged individuals were deemed necessary. The DOJ letter effectively terminated the federal investigation by promising no further disclosures.

Trump, who has previously criticized the media's obsession with Epstein, endorsed the memo's conclusions and called the larger plot a "hoax." Nonetheless, Trump's supporters and proponents of transparency have increased their pressure, calling for public access to grand jury sessions and sealed papers.

Although hundreds of pages of testimony from Epstein's 2006 Florida case—which included upsetting information from victims as young as 14—were made public last year, the New York proceedings are still mostly under wraps. A contentious plea agreement in that Florida case resulted in Epstein serving only 13 months in a county jail.

The events of Thursday may mark a change toward greater transparency, as Bondi is now getting ready to formally ask for the unsealing of federal transcripts in New York; however, the court must still approve such publication.
