Poll Reveals: Democrats in Congress Sink to an All-Time Low!!
By The Blog Source
According to a recent Quinnipiac poll, only 19% of Americans support the performance of Democrats in Congress, sending them to an all-time low in terms of public approval. 72% disapprove, which is a record low in the 16-year history of the poll.
According to the most recent Quinnipiac University survey, which was conducted from July 10–14, only 19% of Americans are satisfied with the work being done by Democrats in Congress. Even among their own party, support is split: 39% of Democrats are happy with their party's performance in Congress, while 52% are not. In a direct summary of the results, Quinnipiac polling researcher Tim Malloy said, "The approval numbers for Democrats can be characterized as flat-out terrible."
Congressional Democrats' approval rating has dropped to only 19%, the lowest level since Quinnipiac University started monitoring the question 16 years ago, indicating a worrisome loss in voter confidence. A startling 72% of survey respondents express dissatisfaction with how Democrats in Congress are carrying out their duties.
The sobering figures show that even the party's own followers are becoming increasingly dissatisfied. The majority of Democratic voters—52 percent—say they disapprove of congressional Democrats, while only 39 percent say they approve of them. The seldom observed degree of intraparty dissatisfaction suggests that the party is making an internal calculation.
Tim Malloy, a Quinnipiac polling expert, described the Democratic approval ratings as "absolutely awful." The decline in support comes after the party has experienced several political losses. While controlling the House, Republicans were able to retake the White House and Senate in last November's elections. They have also made considerable progress in winning over voter groups that have traditionally supported Democrats, such as younger voters, Black voters, and Hispanic voters.
Many voters seem dissatisfied with what they perceive to be weak or ineffectual opposition to President Trump's second-term plan, despite Democratic activists calling on their party leaders to oppose it more strongly. In several polls this year, the party's popularity has fallen to all-time lows as a result of this discontent.
In the same Quinnipiac survey, Republicans in Congress did little better, with 33% of voters approving of their job performance and 62% disapproving. Remarkably, 77% of Republican voters expressed support for the way GOP members are performing their duties, while only 20% expressed disapproval.
Republicans are closely examining these figures as they strive to maintain their slim House and Senate majorities in 2026. In the midterm elections, the ruling party usually faces electoral challenges, but if present patterns continue, Democrats could find themselves in an even more dire political situation.
