Illegal Aliens and Child Laborers Discovered During California Cannabis Farm ICE Raid

On suspicion of hiring illegal aliens, ICE raided a cannabis farm in California on Thursday and discovered ten young workers, including eight unaccompanied minors. Federal officials justified the operation as a necessary assault on child exploitation and illicit labor, despite complaints.

ICE authorities targeted illegal aliens working at the state-licensed cannabis business Glass House Farms in Camarillo during an authorized raid. A federal investigation into possible child labor laws was prompted by the discovery of ten illegal immigrants who were underage working at the location; eight of them were unaccompanied youngsters. Federal officials employed crowd control techniques to disperse protesters attempting to obstruct the operation, resulting in several arrests and injuries.

Targeting illegal alien laborers and potentially finding child labor crimes, federal immigration authorities conducted a massive search at a cannabis farm in Camarillo, California, on Thursday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) spearheaded the operation, which was conducted at Glass House Farms, a state-licensed marijuana business that is still prohibited by federal law.

Despite the efforts of left-wing demonstrators to thwart the operation, dozens of agents stormed the property while carrying a federal warrant. Agents used smoke and tear gas devices in response, and helicopters ensured no suspects could escape or hide in the surrounding fields. Later, authorities confirmed that eight out of the ten young individuals working at the institution were unaccompanied illegal aliens.

California Democrats quickly criticized the enforcement action, despite the overwhelming evidence of labor and immigration violations. On social media, Governor Gavin Newsom expressed his offense and shared footage of individuals fleeing the area. Rep. Salud Carbajal criticized the use of tactical gear and referred to the raid as "deplorable."

Rodney Scott, who is the commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, retaliated by directly addressing Governor Newsom. Here's some shocking information: He wrote on X, "Ten minors were discovered at this marijuana facility—all illegal aliens, eight of them unaccompanied." "It is currently being investigated for violations related to child labor."

California officials protested the operation, but ICE justified it as legal and essential. Under President Trump, this raid is part of a broader effort to enforce federal immigration rules and shut down businesses that undermine American workers by employing illegal labor.

Earlier this week in Los Angeles, similar enforcement activities preceded the altercation in Camarillo, where ICE also encountered opposition from local officials. President Trump’s administration, however, appears unfazed and has clearly stated that sanctuary laws will not shield unlawful activities from federal inspection.
