President Trump’s Media Platform Truth Social Set to Launch on Feb. 21
According to the Apple Inc App Store listing, President Trump’s social media app “Truth Social” will launch on Feb. 21, 2022. “Truth Social,” is set to be a conservative media competitor to combat the liberal activism which now plagues a large percentage of current social media platforms.
According to a Newsmax report, Trump wrote ''I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,'' also adding ''We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable. I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will soon!”
In his initial announcement President Trump promised that “TMTG (Trump Media & Technology Group) will feature 'non-woke' entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more.” In its Apple App Store preview, Truth Social is described a “America’s Big Tent” social media platform that encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating against political ideology.” Truth Social is now available for preorder in the Apple App Store.
