Who Is Funding the LA Anti-ICE Violent Riots?

The FBI is currently looking into the financial networks causing the growing anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles, according to FBI Director Kash Patel. As the disturbance, which began as protests against immigration raids, has become violent, concerns have been raised about foreign influence and taxpayer-funded activism.
According to FBI Director Kash Patel, the organization is monitoring financial assistance that is causing the anti-ICE riots. Previous comments by the Mexican president and video footage of Mexican flags during violent incidents have sparked questions about foreign involvement. In 2023, a California-based activist group that participated in the initial demonstrations was awarded about $34 million in taxpayer funds.
The FBI is focusing on identifying the source of money for the anti-ICE riots that are still raging in Los Angeles. The FBI is "investigating any and all monetary connections responsible for these riots," FBI Director Kash Patel revealed Monday night.
Following a series of high-profile raids throughout Southern California by federal immigration agents, the disturbance broke out. Over the weekend, what started as protests turned violent, with crowds of more than a thousand people attacking federal officials, burning self-driving cars, blocking roads, and throwing concrete at police officers.
The rioters' use of foreign flags and the severity of the violence have raised serious concerns in Washington about the movement's supporters.
Law enforcement is probably focusing on the financial and logistical support networks that enabled the riots, according to former FBI Executive Assistant Director Chris Piehota, who told Just the News that the FBI is actively following the money trail. He went on to say, "They have turned into professional rabble-rousers...financed all over the country to show up at various events and cause problems."
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) stated that he thinks foreign powers are controlling the protests. "They despise this nation," Biggs declared on Monday. "Not a doubt in my mind" that the government of Mexico and other foreign actors are contributing to the upheaval. He cited prior remarks by President Claudia Sheinbaum regarding organizing against U.S. immigration policy as proof.
One group helping to lead the initial protests was the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), which is a part of a broader progressive activist network and organized one of the first events last week. CHIRLA has faced criticism for its heavy reliance on public funding, even though it has denied any role in the violence.
The majority of the approximately $34 million that CHIRLA received in 2023 came from California state contracts, according to state documents. Prior to President Trump ending the financing earlier this year, the nonprofit had also received close to $200,000 in federal grants from the Biden administration.
The protests have also been attributed to far-left activist organizations such as the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), which has been associated with the Chinese Communist Party. PSL is part of a larger network of anti-American organizations connected to Neville. Roy Singham, a millionaire based in Shanghai and a supporter of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), has donated millions to communist causes in the US, including protests against ICE and Israel.
The FBI's current top priorities include tracking down the money, halting the funding, and identifying the foreign and domestic individuals who are turning political discontent into organized street violence. Congress and the American public now need to ask, why are taxpayer monies first funding it?
