“To the Left, To the Left!” President Trump Calls for Kamala’s Prosecution for Illegal Payments to Celebrities

President Trump is demanding the prosecution of Kamala Harris' 2024 campaign for allegedly making unlawful payments to celebrities. Trump claimed that Oprah, Beyoncé, and Al Sharpton received millions of dollars from the campaign in exchange for their endorsements, writing, "YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR AN ENDORSEMENT."

Trump claimed that despite "doing absolutely NOTHING," Harris's team paid Sharpton $600,000, Oprah $3 million in "expenses," and Beyoncé $11 million for an endorsement. He referred to the transactions as "TOTALLY ILLEGAL," citing FEC documents that show payments to Sharpton's National Action Network and Beyoncé's production company. The Washington Examiner reported a $1 million payment that Winfrey's staff denied receiving.

On Saturday, President Donald Trump declared that Kamala Harris' 2024 campaign had violated the law by bribing celebrities for endorsements and demanded that anyone responsible face legal action. Trump referred to payments paid to Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Al Sharpton in a Truth Social post, calling them illegal and dishonest.

Following the presidential election, Trump wrote, "I'm looking at the large amount of money owed by the Democrats and the fact that they admit to paying, probably illegally, eleven million dollars to singer Beyoncé for an endorsement (she never sang a single note and left the stage to a booing and angry audience!), three million dollars for "expenses," to Oprah, six hundred thousand dollars to a very low-rated TV "anchor," Al Sharpton (a complete lightweight!), and others to be named for doing absolutely nothing!"

"These absurd fees were misrepresented in the books and records," he continued. Paying for an endorsement is not permitted. Kamala and everyone who received endorsement funds broke the law. All of them ought to face legal action!

Breitbart News and the Washington Examiner published earlier allegations about the campaign's payments, which prompted Trump's remarks. The Harris campaign, which paid off over $20 million in debt, paid $165,000 to Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment, according to FEC documents. Additionally, $500,000 was transferred to Al Sharpton's National Action Network in two installments on September 5 and October 1.

Although Winfrey's staff has denied it, the Examiner also revealed that Oprah's company received $1 million from the campaign on October 15. Harris's campaign has consistently refuted allegations of endorsement payments.

Trump has previously voiced worries regarding the campaign's financial transactions with celebrities. "Candidates aren't allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment," he said in May, calling for a thorough inquiry.
