Colin Powell, who was fully vaccinated has died after complications from COVID-19
According to a FaceBook statement from his family, former Secretary of State Colin Powell at 84 years old died from complications related to COVID-19 on Monday, despite being fully vaccinated. In the statement, the family thanked the medical staff at Walter Reed National Medical Center and also added: “He was fully vaccinated.”
Colin Powell, an esteemed and accomplished four-star general, was acknowledged as the first African American secretary of State. “With his death, the former soldier and statesman becomes perhaps the most high-profile American public figure to succumb to a so-called breakthrough infection of the novel coronavirus,” according to a News Break article.
