Even longtime U.S. rivals are praising President Donald Trump's peace deal with Gaza, calling it a significant diplomatic achievement worthy of the Nobel Peace Prize. The agreement, which was made public on Wednesday, guarantees a ceasefire and the release of hostages, and it has been hailed as a significant step toward Middle East security worldwide. 

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu invited Trump to speak to Israel's parliament in Jerusalem on Sunday, calling the agreement a "diplomatic success" that will release hostages home and bring peace back.

Trump and regional mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey were praised in statements by Hamas and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas for their contributions to the agreement.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the president of Turkey, took "great pleasure" in the result and praised Trump directly for "showing the necessary political will to encourage the Israeli government toward the ceasefire."

French President Emmanuel Macron praised Trump and regional mediators for their "tireless efforts" in reaching the ceasefire and hostage agreement in Europe. The agreement "must now be implemented in full," according to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who also called for the immediate removal of limitations on humanitarian aid to Gaza. Trump's initiative "represents a unique opportunity to end this conflict that must absolutely be seized," according to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

According to reports, even more established U.S. competitors praised it. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Kremlin, said Thursday that Russia "supports these efforts" and described the truce as "a cause for general satisfaction." Using the opportunity to criticize the West for previous failures on Palestinian statehood, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called the plan "the best solution we have on the table." Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the discovery as evidence that "global security strengthens for all when war ends in one part of the world."

The diplomatic efforts of the United States, Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey in brokering this desperately needed breakthrough” were praised by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, who echoed previous remarks.

Trump called the event a win for "every nation that desires peace over endless war" and stated on Wednesday that he will "most likely" attend the signing ceremony in Egypt. The president's agreement on Gaza, which has the world's leaders cheering, is not only a diplomatic victory but also a reminder of America's pivotal role in determining Middle East peace.
