REALLY? Congress Gives Itself Double-Digit Raise Amid Economic Turmoil
With the average American worker’s real wages decreasing due to inflation, Congress gave itself a double-digit raise, according to a recent Townhall report. Do you remember that 2,700+ page omnibus bill that funded the U.S. government to the tune of some $1.5 trillion? We bet that ,like us, you were wondering why leaders in both parties reached a unanimous consent agreement to proceed quickly with pushing the bill through the Senate?
According to the “Roll Call,” the omnibus bill was earmarked with “Biden vaccine mandate” legislation, among other things which does nothing to offset the current economic conditions that many Americans are facing. But the most egregious of all earmarks is the recent revelation that Congress actually had the audacity to give itself a double-digit raise amidst a Biden-created inflation!
