Will Those Involved in the Alleged Capitol Riot Receive the Same Leniency as the Portland Rioters?

As more details are revealed about exactly what happened during the January 6 riot on the alleged Capitol, Joe Biden’s reversal of President Trump’s policies, which were put in place to deter rioters, may afford the defendants of the alleged Capitol riot a measure of leniency. Lawyers are comparing the leniency shown to Portland rioters to the alleged Capitol riot defendants. Since the beginning of the riots which continue to plague the streets of Portland, Federal prosecutors have shown leniency to rioters by offering deals known as “deferred resolution agreement.”

This agreement allows the defendant to maintain a clean criminal record if they stay out of trouble for a specified time period while completing community service. This hands off approach to the Portland rioters can be attributed to the Biden administration’s personnel changes at the Justice Department in January.

While President Trump enforced long prison sentences for rioters who committed violent offenses, the Biden administration chose a more lenient approach to accommodate the rioters who committed violent crimes in the wake of the death of George Floyd. I guess the Biden regime figured that they could get a pass for attacking people in the streets, looting, and burning down businesses because they did it in the name of “racial justice protests!”

While many are comparing the alleged Capitol riot to the riots which still continue in Portland, it’s obvious that the comparison is lacking on so many levels. Many of the cases in Portland involved direct attacks against the police, and senseless looting and burning of businesses. Yet, the Portland rioters only get a pat on the hand from the Biden Administration. Now it remains to be seen if those involved in the alleged Capitol riots will receive the same leniency as the Democrats seek to make an example of supporters of President Trump.

Over 60 of the people who were charged in the alleged Capitol riot are facing charges that include civil disorder, a felony offense which carries a 5 year sentence in prison. However, if the “deferred resolution agreement” is used in these cases, as in Portland, the alleged Capitol riot defendants may escape prison sentences. But we know that Democrats, in their efforts to vilify supporters of President Trump, are doing everything in their power to define the alleged Capitol riot as worthy of a special kind of punishment!

In our opinion, we feel that MAGA supporters were infiltrated by left-wing agitators who orchestrated a planned trap to create a political narrative to go after Trump supporters!
