President Trump Calls on NATO Leaders to Pay Their Fair Share in Speech

In true form and only in the way that President Trump could do, our President put NATO leaders on notice for their lack of financial support to the cause of international defense.  It was liberating to finally see a President stand up to leaders who represent the countries which the American taxpayers have grossly contributed to with little in return to show for it.

President Trump along with the United States delegation met with European Union leaders in Brussels on Thursday.  In light of the European leader’s “chronic underpayments” to the military alliance, as President Trump highlighted in his speech, Trump once again refused to explicitly endorse NATO’s mutual defense pledge.

President Trump highlighted that members of the alliance must finally contribute their fair share to defense spending and that it was not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States.  Now that’s how a real President is supposed to represent the people!  NATO leaders expected President Trump to lend his support to an Article 5 commitment, the one-for-all, all-for-one principle; in which the United States is the major financial contributor.

President Donald Trump is on a quest to make our country great again!  As President Trump emphasized during his campaign, there will be no more bad deals at the expense of tax-payers.  It was a proud moment to see President Trump state directly: “Two Percent is the bare minimum for confronting today’s very real and very vicious threats!”

We have an amazing President representing this country and it’s time for everyone to get on board and support his agenda to make this country one that we can all be proud of. In the meantime, world leaders should take note that the United States has a real negotiator at the helm; we will no longer foot the bill for other countries who refuse to be a contributing factor!
