Pelosi Dishonors 13 Servicemen Killed in Afghanistan Refusing to Read Their Names Before the House
Not only did House Democrats block the GOP Bill for transparency from the Biden administration on the Afghanistan withdrawal, but Nancy Pelosi went so far as to refuse to even read the names of the 13 service members who lost their lives before the House on Tuesday, despite requests from several members of Congress! According to a Breitbart article, “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Tuesday blocked the House from publicly reading the names of the 13 killed U.S. service members in Afghanistan, House Republicans said.” In the same article, Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) was quoted as telling the Floridian that Pelosi ignored the Republican’s request to read the names, instead she “just closed the House down.”
According to Mast’s comment to the Floridian, he relayed: “We gaveled in, had a prayer, said the Pledge of Allegiance, took a moment of silence with pretty much all Republican veterans, then asked to be recognized to read names and bring up Afghanistan legislation. They did not acknowledge us, and just closed the House down.”
It’s understandable that Democrats are eager to cover up Biden’s dismal handling of Afghanistan, but our brave servicemen who laid down their lives for this country deserve better!
This shift, framed by the White House as a return to "biological truth," represents a total reversal of the previous administration’s stance on LGBTQ+ issues.
