Florida Lawmakers Brand Newsome’s Sanctuary State Policies as a “National Security Threat”

On Wednesday, more than a dozen Florida politicians, in a joint statement letter, called Gavin Newsom's sanctuary state policies a threat to national security. They used the turnpike disaster that killed three Floridians as evidence that his irresponsible policies put families in risk well beyond California's boundaries.
The congressmen added that California's sanctuary rules "are not limited to California's borders" and instead "harm families across our country" while posing "a clear threat to national security." They criticized Newsom for saying again and again that the laws made the world safer, saying, "Safer for whom?" Definitely not for Americans.
The united declaration ended with a promise that Florida will act as a firewall, saying, "We will not stand idle. We will do something so that this hazardous stupidity doesn't cost any more innocent lives.”
Florida Republicans claim that the turnpike accident that killed three Floridians is not a unique incident, but rather a logical byproduct of Gavin Newsom's sanctuary state policy. Fifteen congressmen told MxM News that California's sanctuary framework is a direct threat to Americans throughout the country and that its consequences "create a clear threat to our national security."
They are angry because California gave a criminal illegal immigrant a commercial driver's license, which they believe caused the deadly collision. The congressmen said, "The deadly effects of these so-called 'sanctuary state' laws go beyond California's borders." What occurs there hurts families all throughout the nation in the end.
The letter was signed by Representatives Jon Albert, Yvette Benarroch, Omar Blanco, Robert Brackett, Peggy Gossett-Seidman, Kim Kendall, Monique Miller, Danny Nix, Mike Owen, Jenna Persons-Mulicka, Juan Carlos Porras, Mike Redondo, Michelle Salzman, Dana Trabulsy, and Meg Weinberger. This was a group of Florida Republicans showing that they were all on the same page.
They also went after Newsom directly, attacking his claim that California's policies made the globe safer. "Who is it safer for?" Not for Americans, that's for sure.
The statement closed with a promise that Florida would not let Newsom's ideas spread to their state. "We will not sit back and do nothing while our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have been touched. We will do something so that this stupid behavior doesn't kill any more innocent people. We stand for law and order and the American people.
