CNN Caught Faking News

There should be a penalty for agencies that report fake news and then retract the stories as if everything is OK.  Every story should be proceeded with a large banner: "VIEWER BEWARE! FAKE NEWS HAS BEEN REPORTED BY THIS AGENCY.  VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK!"  The banner should run for the same number of days that the fake news was rotated on the channel used by the news agency. Maybe that will make them more accountable. What do you think?

CNN, has used persistent allegations of President Trump's campaign's inappropriate ties to the Russian government.  It should be no surprise that these allegations had no foundation and CNN had to retract the story.  The three CNN journalist who were involved in the story resigned after the retraction-Thomas Frank, who wrote the story; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit.

President Donald Trump tweeted "Wow, CNN had to retract big story on Russia, with 3 employees forced to resign. What about all the other phony stories they do? FAKE NEWS!"

The fake CNN story was removed from their website and replaced with an editor's note.  There are other fake stories that CNN has allegedly reported as well.  Breibart, RedState, and PJ Media ran posts claiming CNN had staged a protest by Muslims condemning the attack in London.  "CNN has been forced to deny staging an anti-jihadist protest by Muslim Mothers for a fake news report, after raw footage appeared to show the event was choreographed for the cameras" reported by a London Reporter.

In CNN's fake London story a video shows CNN's Becky Anderson directing a mostly female crew of demonstrators under a cordon one at a time under the watchful eye of nearby police constables.  CNN rebutted the accusation after being called out on social media.  But the evidence was quite clear that they used the same people in different locations to craft a fake narrative. Quite a few tweets went out to highlight the details of CNN's fake set up of Muslim women staging an anti-terror protest.

It's about time that CNN got called out for the fake stories that they irresponsibly promote!  Now comes the question that President Trump tweeted, "What about all the other phony stories they do?"
