According to a released document, the new policy by the Trump administration will see the Treasury Department put a stop to the common method of visiting the Island nation by ending the individual people-to-people travel.

"Effective immediately, I am canceling the last administration’s completely one-sided deal with Cuba," President Donald Trump announced.

The President also said he would “enforce the ban on tourism, enforce the embargo, we will take concrete steps to ensure that investments flow directly to the people so they can open private business and begin to build their country’s great, great future.”

"The U.S. embassy will remain open, the President added, “in hope that our countries can forge a much stronger and better path.”
Donald Trump also described the last administration’s actions as a "terrible and misguided deal with the Castro regime."

Although Trump announced a cancellation of Obama’s policies, the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control through a published document disclosed that the announced changes will not take effect until new regulations are issued.

"The profits from investment and tourism flow directly to the military.   The regime takes the money and owns the industry. The outcome of the last administration's executive action has only been more repression and a move to crush the peaceful, democratic movement," President Trump said in Miami on Friday.
